Couldn't Face The Neighbours For Days
by Cha
(UK)
Unknown to us, my ex-husband's cousin who came to visit was an alcoholic (a well-kept secret by his family). He was a breath of fresh air to have around.
Well until we came back one afternoon, found all the plates on the stove turned up to maximum (he had been using the plates as lighters for his cigarettes), the toilet floor covered with urine and a total stranger (a new mate of his from the pub)sleeping on the floor in our lounge.
He finally finished the afternoon episode by going outside and shouting on top of his voice insulting all our neighbours.
I couldn't face my neighbors for days!
